As you enjoy this newsletter,Talbot Humane is currently in the middle of our annual spay/neuter campaign. Increased advertising brings increased awareness of the services we offer. Our financial assistance program for spay/neuter surgeries began in 1998 with a $2800.00 grant from the Snyder Foundation For Animals and a commitment from our board and staff to provide services to every person in Talbot County who needed our help. Our goal that year was to sterilize 80 animals.

Talbot Humane receives many calls from pet guardians who are having behavioral problems with their pets. While we are not certified animal behaviorists, we try to help as much as we can. It’s amazing that pet guardians have many preconceived ideas for why their pet misbehaves. “He’s peeing on the bed because he’s mad at me.” “She chases the cat because she’s jealous.” “I stopped buying his favorite food and now he’s running away to spite me.”
