Hi everyone at Talbot Humane! Just wanted to forward this picture of Bella. This is her favorite spot to nap- in the sunlight from the window. She has been one spoiled kitty since coming home with us :o) She sleeps in the bed with my husband and I and our Chihuahua! She gets along great with our 2 dogs and we could not ask for a better cat!!!! We love her so much!!!!!!! Lisa Gould |
|
Surrey is fitting in nicely in our home! She's the perfect dog for us! She's very sweet and she's starting to know her name and come when she's called outside! Thanks again! Paul |

Hi Heather, We are so pleased with Brie so far, she is doing amazingly well. Took right to our office and when we got home it's like she's always been there, her crate and everything, she loves it. No accidents! Attached are a couple photos, 001 is at home and 002 is at the office this morning :o) She's fitting right in and we are so in love already! Hope your day is great, Mandy Hemmerick |

Dear Heather, It has been about 6 months now since I adopted Kiko (formerly Tammy) and she is the love of my life! I never knew that I could feel so strong about a pet. We cuddle and play together all the time. And she is the softest kitty that I have ever felt! I wanted to share some pictures with you of Kiko's new life. My life is starting to feel very complete. I got a new job at Avon in NYC (which I love, but today I'm home sick) and after work, I get to come home to my best friend who greets me at the door. I'm starting to even want another cat! When I visit my boyfriend in Easton (yes, Kiko comes with me. She doesn't mind being in her carrier for the drive because she loves looking out the window!), I always tell him that I want to visit more kitties!
Enjoy the pictures. Thank you so much for letting me adopt from your shelter. I'm glad that I could give Kiko a good home, and in turn, she has improved my life :) Best, Katherine

Talbot Humane Volunteers Psyched For PetSmart Grand Opening Easton, MD –– Talbot Humane volunteers came out in droves last night to receive training at the Talbot Humane Pet Adoption Center at PetSmart. “I’ve been overwhelmed by the response of our volunteers who see this as an excellent chance to increase our cat adoptions,” exclaimed Patty Quimby Talbot Humane’s Shelter Coordinator. Talbot Humane has been selected as a PetSmart Adoption Partner for their Multiple Day Cat Program and will have cats available for adoption at the store seven days per week. “Finding enough homes for all of the cats we receive continues to be our biggest adoption challenge,” adds Quimby “and the opportunity that PetSmart has given us is a great gift.” If you’re interested in volunteering at PetSmart for Talbot Humane, please contact Patty Quimby at 410-822-0107 or visit www.talbothumane.org for more information. Talbot Humane is a not-for-profit organization operated by a small staff and a large corps of volunteers all dedicated to finding loving homes for unwanted animals. |

Increased advertising brings increased awareness of the services we offer. Our financial assistance program for spay/neuter surgeries began in 1998 with a $2800.00 grant from the Snyder Foundation For Animals and a commitment from our board and staff to provide services to every person in Talbot County who needed our help. Our goal that year was to sterilize 80 animals. |

Download Our Full Color Newsletter By Clicking The Download Button. From The Desk Of . . .Talbot Humane receives many calls from pet guardians who are having behavioral problems with their pets. While we are not certified animal behaviorists, we try to help as much as we can. It’s amazing that pet guardians have many preconceived ideas for why their pet misbehaves. “He’s peeing on the bed because he’s mad at me.” “She chases the cat because she’s jealous.” “I stopped buying his favorite food and now he’s running away to spite me.” |

NEWS TNR - A Labor of Love Approximately three weeks ago, we were very involved in Tilghman with our spay/neuter clinic. Ever since a lot of us have been busy tying up loose ends. To read the entire story, click here UPCOMING EVENTS
Looking for something fun for the entire family, including your pooch? Then plan on attending this year’s Walk for the Animals. Enjoy a fun filled morning scheduled to include blessing of the animals, caricatures by Rick Kollinger, and a scavenger hunt through “the town that fooled the British”! Talbot Humane works diligently to reduce the pet overpopulation problem through aggressive spay/neuter programs. While all shelter animals are sterilized prior to adoption our goal is to offer spay/neuter services to any Talbot County resident in need of help. Help us reach our goal by making donations and collecting pledges for the 9th Annual Dog walk! Each dollar pledged goes directly to spaying or neutering an animal in need. Get your friends, family and co-workers in on the action to help us make a difference- no animal should be left behind. OUT AND ABOUT WITH TALBOT HUMANE On June 2, our volunteers and staff were out with some of our adoptable pets at the recent Adopt-a-Thon at Tuckahoe Steam and Gas. The animals always enjoy an outing, especially if it gives them a chance to show their best qualities. See photos! A love match: Chloe and Schooner!
